About Me:
I'm 54. But does it matter? They say you're as old as the woman you feel. Being single - and celibate - that makes me …… um. You can fill in the dots.
I live in a small town in the outback north, east of the mountain, west of the breeze, and out of range of the melting freeze ©.
I've been a musician for eons, it seems. I joined my first band when I was 13, and I've performed professionally and semi-professionally, and produced music concerts, in South Africa and in the UK. I've also owned and operated an audio recording studio. I'm currently with a great little 4-piece Classic Rock band called Free Air.
I've written songs, lyrics, poems; and I'm currently writing an autobiography, which I'm calling A Comedy of Eras. I think everyone should write about their life, even if their targeted readership is a handful of really special people - and perhaps especially for that reason.
While most of my peers are getting ready to ‘go on pension', I'm starting over in almost every way. I lost a good business a few years ago, when some…Christian got my contract under rather dubious circumstances. Having lost almost everything I had to start rebuilding. Then, at the age of 49, I met a young blonde, left my wife, and lost the rest. Then I left the blonde, in Scotland. Nowadays I hang out a ‘single' shingle. I'm not sure if it's in lament or in celebration.
I'm in business with my son and daughter-in-law, who live in Frankfurt. We bring German tourists to South Africa. I'm going to Germany for most of December and January; my first visit there, and I'm looking forward to it.
I've been an atheist, humanist, Christian - no, not Christian. That's a derogatory term of reference the Romans gave to the followers of Christ. And frankly most followers have given the religion a deservedly bad reputation throughout the past 2000 years. So I'll just say I believe in the teachings of the Apostles.
Recently, a friend introduced me to Holosync. It's still too new to me to illicit an intelligent comment, but I have hope that it will add to my value and enhance the quality of my life.
Who am I writing this to, by the way? Who will read it? I can't help feeling this is going into a self-addressed envelope. Well, if you happen to read this and want to compare notes - hey, I look forward to chatting with you. Skin Danimal
